Item Description

This is a nice reference piece of Hubnerite from the well known Adams Mine in Colorado. This locality is almost exclusively known for these specimens, and they are still among the best crystallized examples from any locality in Colorado. You can see dozens of beautiful, sharp, lustrous, deep brownish-red, tabular striated crystals of Hübnerite intermixed with granular white Quartz matrix. The largest Hübnerite crystal measures about 3 mm long. It's not a killer for the locality, but you don't see a lot of these on the market nowadays, so if you've ever wanted a decent piece for your collection, look no further. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2041). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
