Item Description
Lustrous, mahogany-brown hubnerite blades are aesthetically and richly set on the sculptural ship- or shoe-shaped matrix on this fine two-sided example from the well-known Colorado mine. The small and exctinct Adams Mine of Colorado has produced some of the finest US hubnerites. An excellent and rich old Colorado classic from the Kay Robertson Collection # 5548. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). She acquired this piece in 1968 from the Lidstrom's at the MSSC Show.
