Hubnerite and Quartz (ex Tom Campbell)

An excellent combination specimen of blocky, bladed, lustrous, brown-black Hubnerite crystals aesthetically set amongst water-clear, jackstraw Quartz crystals from Pasto Bueno, Peru. Both prominent Hubnerites measure 3.4 cm long, 1.7 cm wide and 1 cm thick, the smaller Hubnerite crystals mixed in with the Quartz crystals are just under 1 cm in size. They exhibit wedge-shaped terminations and lightly striated faces. The glassy, almost needle-like Quartz crystals are from just less than 1 cm up to 3.5 cm with some being doubly terminated. A few of the Quartz crystals are incomplete and there is a tiny ding on one of the Hubnerite corners, otherwise a very showy combination specimen from Peru! Ex. Tom and Melissa Campbell collection.
