Hübnerite and Quartz

Clusters of highly lustrous, parallel-growth hubnerite blades, to about 2.8 cm, are beautifully set among a dramatic, large, sculptural field of glassy, variably sized quartz crystals. The imposing large quartz in the background is 8.8 cm long. Most of the hubnerites are terminated, but a few broken tips are noted. A great hubnerite and quartz combination from Pasto Bueno dating to the late 1970s, when these were coming out. Comes with a Hansen Minerals label and was formerly in the Kirby Siber Collection, a well-known Swiss dealer. Gary Hansen private collection.
