Item Description

An excellent and very showy combination specimen of blocky, bladed, highly lustrous, deep red heubnerite crystals aesthetically set amongst jackstraw, water-clear quartz needles from the famous Pasto Bueno District of Peru. The fat hubnerite is 3.2 cm across. The wedge-shaped terminations are indicative of the 1985 find at the Mundo Nuevo Mine. Minor periphery wear is noted, but overall, the major hubnerites are in good shape. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Beautifully displayable from either side, this is classic highly representative material from this noted area and then some, transcending to a stellar level of quality for the size. Valued $750-1250
