Item Description
Hubnerite is an uncommon and desirable accessory species at the famed Sweet Home Mine. A sharp, lustrous and partially traslucent 1.6 cm terminated blade is aesthetically set on the striking mounded specimen covered with porcupine quills of needle quartz crystals. The hubnerite bifurcates near the tip as it grew around a quartz needle and one face is covered with tiny quartz crystals, adding pizzazz. You can see flashes of characteristic red color under bright light. Tetrahedrite in the matrix adds contrast. The front is in great shape, as most of the broken quartz crystals are confined to the back of the piece. A fascinating, excellent and uncommon 360-degree combination.
