Item Description

A cool and rarely seen specimen of ultra-rare brown bladed Hubeite associated with sharp, highly lustrous metallic yellow twinned crystals of Chalcopyrite and soft golden cubic Pyrite from the classic locality in China. The crystals are sitting on Quartz matrix. It is certainly a very aesthetic attractive display piece. The largest Hubeite measures 7 mm, and the largest Chalcopyrite measures 1.3 cm. Hubeite gets its name from the Hubei Province of China where the Fengjiashan Mine (Daye Mine) is located. It's still the ONLY locality in the world where Hubeite is found!
