Item Description

Hubeite is a very rare calcium-iron-manganese silicate, approved as a species in 2000 from this locality and it is found only at one other locality in the world! This is a showy miniature featuring a glassy and gemmy, 5.2 cm Quartz crystal richly sprinkled on three sides and part of the termination with dark brown, well-formed, prismatic Hubeite crystals to 5 mm in length. The point of the Quartz crystal is pristine too by the way. An excellent specimen of this very rare species because almost none of them every showed such isolation. This is extremely atypical AS most specimens are simply "lumps" or "carpets" of crystals and this has isolated textbook crystals on a gemmy white background! From the early 2000s, 2002-2004.
