Item Description

Hsianghualite is an ultra-rare Ca-Li-Be Zeolite Group species. Both known localities (MINDAT) are in the Xianghualing Sn-polymetallic ore field and this rich specimen is from the famous Type Locality - the Xianghualing Mine. Glassy, translucent, colorless, rounded, mounded clusters of intergrown crystals, to 5 mm, look like the compound insect eyes and are richly scattered on the oxide-coated matrix. These are rather large crystals for the species. Periphery wear is noted, but is certainly acceptable in the context of this fine rarity. Specimens of this quality and richness are very rare and seldom seen on the market. In China, I have seen few, and often priced $1000 or above for any sample.
