Item Description
Howlite is a rarely crystallized borate found in gypsum and anhydrite deposits. This very fine 1.6 cm wide spray of lustrous, translucent, grayish-brown, howlite prisms is jauntily set atop the sculptural matrix and is from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The howlite Type Locality is also in Nova Scotia. Seldom on the market.
