Item Description
Howlite is a rare borate found in gypsum and anhydrite deposits. This very fine 1.6 cm wide spray of lustrous, translucent, grayish-brown, howlite prisms is attractively set on matrix of massive anhydrite and is from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The howlite Type Locality is also in Nova Scotia and near Windsor. Seldom on the market.
