Hornblende w/ Calcite

Item Description

An impressive cluster of large and sharp hornblende crystals from this well-known Bancroft area locale. Though fairly common, hornblende crystals of this size and quality are quite rare. Complete-all-around and pristine, this stately specimen features sharp and sharply terminated crystals with high jet-black luster and a nifty opposing doubly terminated crystal. The attached bit of brown calcite adds color contrast and pizzazz. Most excellent Bear Lake hornblende.
