Hornblende (Canning and Schlichter Coll.)

Item Description

Sharp, well-terminated, parallel-growth, hornblende crystals from a well-known Ontario locale. The lustrous, jet-black, crystals have nifty preferential etching on some faces. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, a small ding on the sidecar termination is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. A very fine example of the species and locale.
