Item Description

Fluorite specimens from this obscure Indiana quarry and rare and very seldom on the market. The honey color and bright luster made them midwest classics for many years, but they are seldom seen outside midwest collecting circles and were always rare. As a kid, it was my dream to own a good one, in fact...! This is an outstanding and aesthetic example of a pristine, 2.7 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm, glassy, water-clear amber cube that is jauntily perched on a sliver of silicified limestone matrix. Valued $400-500 for rarity, sharpness, quality, and locale. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Moderate purple fluorescence.
