Honessite is a rare hydrated sulfate. Sprays of splendent nickel-green honessite crystals are aesthetically scattered in a vug lined with drusy quartz in the limestone geode. The finest examples of the species come from this well-known Kentucky locale. Honessite is rarer than millerite ND IS FOUND IN ABOUT 1/100 OF THE GEODES THAT CONTAIN MINERALIZATION HERE.
