Item Description

The holmquistite group of minerals are rare orthorhombic amphiboles in the lithium amphibole subgroup. Striking, flower-like starbursts of lustrous, dark gray lathes to about 3.0 cm are attractively scattered on the sparkly mica schist matrix. Showy and rare material from this obscure Chinese locality. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
