Hollow multi-colored Tourmaline

A facinating and showy tourmaline from recent finds at the famous Pederneira Mine. This polychrome tourmaline has a nearly total hollow body from etching. The gemmy, lustrous, striated body is sea-green. Above that is: a darker green zone; a pretty teal-blue zone; a thin green zone; and capped by a lustrous purple termination. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of trivial termination edgewear, which is certainly not a detraction. An unusual and very showy tourmaline from this noted locale. 15 grams.
