Item Description
The Black Butte claims are former surface and underground mines for manganese and tungsten and specimens from this locale are very rare. Highly lustrous, sharp, metallic-gray, hollandite crystals cover the thumbnail plate and are very nicely accented with starkly contrasting, lustrous, colorless calcite rhombs. Old-time material from this much less well-known Arizona locale from the Dick Jones Collection.
