Item Description
Hoelite is a very rare organic compound named after the Norwegian geologist, Adolf Hoel. It's only found in four places in the world! This piece features micro yellow "needles" of Hoelite on host rock matrix. This is an extremely rare example of a mineral that is almost never seen for sale on the market, and the label even states that it is irreplaceable becuase the mine is closed. This is the only specimen of this rare species that we've had to offer and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371
