Item Description

Hodgkinsonite is a very rare manganese, zinc silicate found only in the Franklin Mining District of New Jersey. This piece is from the well known New Jersey collection of Rich Kosnar and John Albanese and features small, sparkling, purplish-pink color crystals of Hodgkinsonite with micro black Franklinite matrix. A very cool representative specimen of this hard to find material. I have photographed the best part of the crystals under the microscope to better illustrate their quality.
