Item Description

A very rare and rich combination from Franklin. Pastel-pink masses of translucent and lustrous hodgkinsonite, a very rare Mn-Zn silicate found ONLY at Franklin, richly covers both sides of the piece. Brown willemite is noted on both sides, with two sides hosting vugs filled with small RARE needle willemite crystals. The base of the piece is granular franklinite. Green fluorescence for the willemite. Ex George Elling Collection, a noted Franklin specialist. A MUST for the locality or species collector. Not pretty to look at, but a rich, rare and excellent specimen for what it is.
