Item Description

A significant specimen with numerous, relatively large crystals of both Hilgardite and Parahilgardite, with many only slightly smaller! It is important to note that these are real crystals, not the typical little "blebs" that you normally see for this species! The salmon-colored Hilgardite crystals can be quite lustrous and range from 2-4 mm, while the lustrous, nearly gemmy, and colorless Parahilgardites reach up to 7 mm in size. The blue, anhedral to crystalline Boracites are spread throughout. This specimen is an oval 'geode', with must have been the original Hilgardite and Boracite having filled in the original cavity. This is one of the richest specimens like this that I have seen for sale in nearly a decade. Not only is it good for what it is, it's simply an attractive piece, as well! Ex. Bill and Carol Smith, Lindsay Greenbank, and Scott J. Williams. Old history!
