Hidden Gem Mine is a brand new mine, virgin ground in Little Falls, New York. You will have the choice of going to the brand new mine that only a few people have ever had the chance to dig at; or the already established private mine down the road we call Diamond Falls. From the owners, Reanna DiGrigoli & Bryan Lynch: "the new mine, Hidden Gem Mine, we expect to be one of the best in the area. We have prospected and pulled out some amazing crystals so far and you will be one of the first people to ever get material from this wonderful hidden location. We will prepare everything for you so that you are ready to dig as soon as you arrive. We will have the tools needed to get into the ledge as well as teach you how to extract the crystals with minimal impact to the land. One of the reasons Hidden Gem Mine is so interesting is you can find a variety of Herkimer Diamond Quartz at the mine. From gem clear to carbon and marcasite included, the Herkimers here are textbook and fantastic. We will make sure you leave with some great examples of what Herkimer Diamonds can be. 1 Day of 6 hours, Digging and Education - to be scheduled by mutual arrangement within 1 year of auction close."

You can drive right onto the private land where you will be escorted to the dig area. There will be shaded areas and you will be in forest so you will have natural tree canopy as well. There are some very charming and historical places to stay in the area but we can also help suggest some accommodations that we know might work out well and we will provide transport to and from the mine from your place of stay if you do not have transportation planned.

Anything else you find can be purchased at a fair discount from the retail value. Trip scheduling is subject to mutual agreement and availability. This location can be weather dependent due to heat restrictions or ground freeze. The specimens pictured here are from the Herkimer, NY area but the items are not included in this auction item. Winners responsible for their own travel costs.
