Item Description

Heulandite is known from hundreds of world localities, but often the crystals are white, or some variation thereof. Rarely does one encounter such vibrantly colored Heulandites as this. The locality at Garrawilla Station is probably best known for producing these amazing flame colored Heulandites. This specimen is packed with brilliant orange-red color groups of sharp, lustrous Heulandite crystals measuring up to 1.3 cm sitting a on drusy layer of sugary grey Quartz on matrix. The color is about as strong as I've seen from any locality in the world. Very little damage, and great quality. Hard to find material, I'm told that these came out in the 1970s. From an old East Coast collection.
