Sharp, lustrous, rich reddish-orange layered heulandite prisms, to 1.3 cm, are attractively set in sculptural vugs on both sides of the blocky vesicular volcanic matrix on this excellent OLD heulandite from this classic Italian locale. Old specimens, such as this, are hard to obtain today. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6899 and acquired in February, 1973. It comes with a 100+ year-old faded German label. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Choice old-time zeolite material from this famous locale.
