Item Description
A beautiful specimen of deep brick-red colored Heulandite labeled as coming from "Gunnadah". I'm not 100% certain of the accuracy of the locality, as the Heulandites from this area are typically much brighter in color. With that said, this piece features a 3.1 cm "fan"-shaped group of lustrous Heulandite crystals sitting in a vug of Quartz with small white spheres of Natrolite(?) on basalt matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7179). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
