Heulandite (ex Frank H. Stadtmueller Collection)

Item Description

A great old time specimen of the rarely seen Heulandite from Cape Blomidon in the Bay of Fundy. Sharp, lustrous, pearly, slightly beige-tan colored groups measuring up to 7 mm sit in basalt matrix with minor associated white Mordenite and an unknown green mineral that I assume could be Celadonite(?). The piece comes with a beautiful old time hand-written label from the Frank H. Stadtmueller collection of Elmwood, Connecticut, who died circa 1920.
