A very aesthetic and sculptural combination plate from Jalgaon featuring a gorgeous, lustrous, translucent, dark maroon-brown colored group of Heulandite-(Ca) blades associated sitting atop a thin Chalcedony-coated plate of basalt. The Heulandite group measures 3.1 cm long. Most Heulandite around the world is often white or colorless, and this richly colored heulandite varietal is RARE outside of India. Excellent condition with only a few tiny imperfections that I can see to the Heulandite. Valued at $1,200 retail. Ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection.
