Heulandite and Stilbite

What a spectacular Heulandite and Stilbite specimen! This impressive large cabinet piece features large, divergent, fan-like blades of lustrous, pink Heulandite that all display salmon-red tips or terminations for spectacular effect. The divergent fans are from 2 to 5 cm in maximum size and are placed perfectly on three-fourths of the piece; with the other one-quarter of the piece composed of 2 to 3 cm, lustrous, pink-peach Stilbite. The stilbite has an unusual shimmer to it resulting in lovely color and textural contrast. For that matter, the whole piece has a shocking luster, in both species. This is an old specimen from the 1990s or early 2000s, and was once part of a large Indian suite in the collection of Robert Nowakowski. He also specialized in specimens with large crystals for species, and this heulandite certainly qualifies. It looks like nothing so much as a flower, on matrix. This is NOT common level of material, and such quality is not widely seen - or expected - in contemporary finds here. This is a large, dramatic cabinet specimen and the highest representation of what is, generally speaking, a rare species worldwide. From India, heulandite is admittedly common, but not in this quality and perfection. Custom base included. Valued $5000-plus.
