Item Description
Lustrous, wet-look, variable teal-blue chrysocolla botryoids richly cover the sculptural mounded 360-degree miniature and are nicely accented with starkly contrasting clusters of grape-like, lustrous, coronadite botryoids. Heterogenite is a rare cobalt oxide-hydroxide. Complete all-around and in great shape. The bit of noted contacting at the top is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy and excellent example of this classic combination from this famous locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12962. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
