Heterogenite is a rare copper oxide. Lustrous, bubbly, botryoidal, jet-black, heterogenite richly coats the front of this sculptural, blocky, two, sided specimen. The back, base, top and one side are covered with juicy, wet-look, malachite botryoids. The one contacted end is only a very modest detraction, and is out of sight on the frontal display view. A very fine and showy rare combination piece from this less well-known Katanga copper mine. Ex Zukowski Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
