Item Description

Hydroxylherderite is a rare beryllium phosphate usually found in pegmatites and is occasionally found in the Shigar Valley. Pretty mint-green, sharply formed, translucent and lustrous crystals are aesthetically placed along the edge of a sculptural plate of pearlescent cleavelandite blades. The compound crystal cluster is 2.8 cm. These are fine, sharp crystals with excellent color. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. His label says herderite (very rare or possibly misidentified). We believe they are hydroxylherderite crystals. Valued by Herb at $400, five or more years ago. It is worth more today.
