Herderite (rare for locality)

Fine locality specimen - a solid cluster of gemmy, euhedral Herderites, growing on Schorl. The Herderites, rare for the Erongos, have excellent luster and attractive striations on many of the crystal faces. The crystals average about 3mm in size, though the largest is about 5mm. A very fine specimen of this rare locality piece. In the context of moving 6000 specimens from his storage and apartment, Charlie specifically pointed out his few groups of Herderites to us!
