Item Description
A good specimen of this exceptionally rare and strange Garnet species, Henritermierite, from the best locality for crystals of this variety. It is seldom seen and very rare to own a good piece. Henritermierite is unusual because it is a manganese rich Garnet, and even more unusual because of its pseudo-octahedral crystal habit. The Henritermierite crystals (up to 3mm), all have good luster and a deep red-black color to them. A rich plate like this is exceedingly hard to obtain. Worth every penny of $800-$1000 lot to high, according to Charlie and based on sales of some of his other pieces before we found a small secondary stash mixed in with his other minerals
