Item Description

Hendricksite is an ultra-rare Mica Group species, the zinc analogue of phlogopite. The famed Franklin Mine is the Type Locality, where it was first described in 1966. Intersecting, slickenside layers of waxy luster, light and dark brown hendricksite encase two sides of the large hefty ore matrix of granular frankinite and rose-red willemite. Lime-green SW UV fluorescence on the willemite. Very rich and excellent combination material from the Rich Kosnar Collection.
