Hemimorphite with Kipushite and Veszelyite (2020 discovery)

Over the years, there have been a few important discoveries of attractive blue Hemimorphite from a few localities in the renowned copper deposits in Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville). A few months ago (May 2020) we picked up a small but good quality parcel of new material from what originally was said to be the M'Fouati Mine, but conflicting information is leaving us label this as simply coming from the M'Fouati District. These new specimens have excellent color and the vast majority are good sized display specimens. This cabinet sized piece features a coverage of beautiful bright sky blue colored botryoidal Hemimorphite which is associated with micro green aggregates of the rare zinc phosphate Kipushite, along with deep blue Veszelyite. The reverse side of the piece features a rich coverage of grey-blue botryoids of Hemimorphite. A very attractive and good overall quality example of these beautiful new specimens.
