Item Description
This piece is labeled as "Cuproadamite" from Santa Eulalia, but I've never seen a crumb of Adamite that looks like this from the area, and upon close inspection I'm convinced it's actually Hemimorphite. With that said, the group of crystals has distinctive soft green-blue hue at its central portion, which grades out into white terminations. Surrounding scalenohedral Calcite crystals can be seen on a few sides of the 1.6 cm Hemimorphite group, all of which is sitting on oxidized matrix. It's uncommon to find Hemimorphite with any color whatsoever from this locality, most crystals are completely white / colorless, and it is also possible that the blue mineral may in fact be a bit of Smithsonite, upon which the Hemimorphite has grown.
