Item Description
Rare, beautiful, rich sky-blue, translucent bladed hemimorphite botryoids line a sculptural elongated small cabinet vug on this gorgeous piece from the obscure Esmeralda Mine, Magistral, Durango, Mexico. The dominating two compound spheres are 2.0 cm across. From limited finds in the 1960s to early 1970s, with none since. Blue hemimorphite (possibly from copper content) is relatively uncommon from Mexico, except for some pieces from the famous Mina Ojuela. Ex Tom Collins Collection of Calgary, Canada. Excellent hemimorphite from the locale.
