Item Description

A striking "volcano" shaped specimen covered with second generation white hemimorphite "snow" highlights this fantastically exotic looking and RARE hemimorpite from from an unknown location in Myanmar. Translucent spherical aggregates of teal-blue hemimorphite crystals form the sculptural "ground" below the volcano with another field of white hemimorphite "snow" at the bottom. We bought this surreal looking piece from a Chinese dealer in China who attributed the specimen to Myanmar and says it walked over the border. MINDAT does not yet list hemimorphite coming from Myanmar. Rare, perhaps unique material from Myanmar discoveries.
