Item Description

A rare and striking pseudomorph from this famous old Scottich locale. This very thin, lightweight and sculptural crust is composed of dramatically opposing pseudomorphed clusters of flat, chevron-shaped calcite scalenohedrons with an iron oxide coating. The broken tips and back of the piece show the radial sprays of tiny hemimorphite crystals, that have replaced the calcites! VERY rare and showy pseudomorph material from the J.G. Dixon and Tom Wolfe Collections. A must for the locality or species collector.
