Hemimorphite on Smithsonite (ex Harold Urish Coll)

Attractive, soft blue colored, radial groups of Hemimorphite up to 1.1 cm sit on soft greenish Smithsonite creating an eye-catching overall specimen. From the collection of Harold Urish, and certainly an uncommon specimen based upon the few pieces of this material that I've seen from the 79 Mine. According to the label, Harold collected this piece personally at the mine in April of 1994. It's a wonderfully brightly colored piece as opposed to some of the less desirable pieces from this locality. If you're an Arizona collector, or an association collector, don't pass this one up.
