Hemimorphite on Goethite/Limonite stalactites (rare style for the locality)

A gorgeous and rarely seen example of the excellent and classic Hemimorphite specimens from the famous Ojuela Mine in Mexico. This locality has produced some of the most display specimens from any Mexican locality, including some of the finest Hemimorphites out there. This is showy and fine quality display specimen featuring wonderful crystallized groups ("sprays") comprising sharp, well-formed, bladed white crystals, with individual crystals measuring up to 2.7 cm long which have grown over thin stalactitic of Goethite or Limonite. This particular style is rather hard to find from the Ojuela Mine, and I feel like this might be the best example of this particular material that we've had to offer in the auctions. The contrast of these species makes for a very eye-catching specimen, as the Hemimorphite is beautifully separated by the dark iron oxide "spires". No major damage that I can find, , though there are tiny imperfections you can see with a loupe. A wonderfully aesthetic piece of this well-known material. Valued in the inventory at $1,500.
