A superb quality, eye-catching specimen of the classic Hemimorphites from the famous Ojuela Mine in Mexico. This world-renowned locality for several decades has produced some of the most iconic mineral specimens from anywhere in Mexico. This small cabinet piece features an excellent quality fine crystallized "spray" comprising sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy/translucent, well-formed, bladed white crystals of Hemimorphite measuring 3.1 cm at its longest dimension, sitting atop Goethite / Limonite matrix. The contrast of these species makes for a very eye-catching specimen. This is a really good one, about as lustrous as they get from the locale. No major damage that I can find, just a few tiny imperfections, and this a wonderfully aesthetic piece of this well-known material. Valued $2,000.
