Item Description
Beautiful well formed “fans” of translucent, lustrous, white Hemimorphite crystals. The sharp Hemimorphite blades are stacked together in varying numbers creating linear fan shaped aggregates with the longest group measuring 3.9 cm in length. The upright fans, rising up to 2.3 cm tall above a basal coverage of glistening tiny Calcite crystals, are scattered across the surface providing some verticality to the piece. The piece is in near pristine condition with no visible damage to be found. It has an appealing and classy look with three dimensionality and an excellent textural form. A classic Hemimorphite from the Ojuela Mine. Donated by Brian Kosnar Mineral Classics to the MINDAT auction. Valued $1500 - quite fairly.
