Hemimorphite (fine classic material)

Item Description

Some of the finest crystallized specimens of Hemimorphite are those from Mexico. The size and quality of the crystals is outstanding for the species, and the best pieces came out decades ago, but are still quite desirable for collectors. This is a classic specimen from the famous Santa Eulalia area in Mexico featuring several good sized, sharp, lustrous, prismatic groups of white Hemimorphite measuring up to 3.3 cm long aesthetically flaring off of contrasting gossan matrix. Some of the Hemimorphite crystals have embedded gossan on their would-be terminations, but they actually grew too large for their environment, and ended up growing into the other side of the pocket wall. The piece is still highly aesthetic, and a true classic from Mexico.
