Hemimorphite (fine blue color) (2020 discovery)

Over the years, there have been a few important discoveries of attractive blue Hemimorphite from a few localities in the renowned copper deposits in Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville). About a year ago (May 2020) we picked up a small but good quality parcel of new material from the M'Fouati Mine. These new specimens have excellent color and the vast majority are good sized display specimens. This cabinet sized piece features a coverage of beautiful bright sky blue colored botryoidal Hemimorphite which is associated with micro "balls" of blue-green Chrysocolla (or possibly Rosasite?) along with some TINY dark blue crystals of the rare copper zinc phosphate, Veszelyite! You need a strong loupe or a microscope to see those little crystals, but I was able to find them fairly easily. A very attractive and good quality example of these beautiful new specimens.
