Hemimorphite (Copper-bearing) (rare locality)

Item Description

A rather rare specimen of richly-colored Hemimorphite labeled as coming from Cagliari, Sardinia, but not from a specific mine. The piece hosts beautiful botryoidal groups measuring to about 3 mm across, with a combination of colors, showing a glowing turquoise blue shade underneath, but the top-most layer has more of a stronger green hue. The "balls" have good luster and they actually sparkle a bit in reflected light. A lovely and notably hard to find example from Cagliari.
