A really showy miniature sized piece of the classic Hemimorphite specimens from the famous Ojuela Mine in Mexico. This famous old mine dates back centuries, and is still producing today. For many many years, Ojuela has graced the mineral world some of the most iconic mineral specimens from any Mexican locality. This particular piece is an eye-catching and fine quality display specimen featuring wonderful crystallized groups ("sprays") comprising sharp, well-formed, bladed white crystals of Hemimorphite, with individual crystals measuring up to 2.0 cm long, sitting on minor gossan matrix. The reverse side of the piece has a slight coating of sparkling / drusy micro Calcite crystals which have a reddish-brown hue due to iron oxide inclusions. No major damage and very attractive in person. A showy and choice miniature of this famed material, which are among the top crystallized examples of Hemimorphite in the world.
