Here we have a beautiful and certainly uncommon vibrant blue Hemimorphite from the M'fouati Mine in Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). While blue Hemimorphites are not unheard of from this locality, they had not been seen on the market in many years until some miners decided to explore old tunnels and risk their lives to collect new specimens very recently. The intense blue color in these specimens is caused by copper content, and really creates some of the most attractive Hemimorphites from any location. This showy, three-dimensional large cabinet display specimen features a coverage of attractive glowing blue to seafoam-green colored botryoids of Hemimorphite sitting on host rock matrix. I haven't seen anything new from this locale in the past couple years, so I don't know if there will be more, so if you've always wanted one of these important Hemimorphites, don't miss out on this rare and beautiful display specimen.
