Hemimorphite (beautiful blue color)

These beautiful blue Hemimorphites came out of the Wenshan Mine in the mid 2000s, and are some of the most colorful examples of the species ever found. This color is GENUINE, and is not treated or dyed in any way. These pieces have been around for a long time, and everbody is familiar with them and knows they are legit. This attractive cabinet display specimen features a coverage of strong blue color bubbly / botryoidal Hemimorphite aggregates on matrix from Wenshan. The drusy, sparkling surface combined with the excellent overall quality and nearly full coverage on the matrix make it a fine specimen. It's likely that the blue color is caused by copper content, but I have never had this material tested to know for sure. Priced in the inventory at $800.
